Title: Move an image between albums?
Post by: Bob Rockefeller on October 19, 2016, 10:16:53 am
I run C1 with a managed catalog workflow. I have the catalog arranged into folders -> projects -> albums/smart albums.

There are many times I'd like to move, not copy, an image from one album to another. C1's support folks tell me that can't be done. I have to copy the image to the destination album and then remove it from the source album.

How are you all working with images and albums? Maybe I'm missing a technique to avoid this frustration?

I use User Collections for my file structure. I have my 'originals' stored within the CO Catalog. This way the 'originals' are always in the CO Catalog organized by import date. So all images reside there but I have them 'collected' into albums etc within User Collections. Within User Collections you can have the image in any album or folder you want to. The original remains in the CO Catalog. Hard to make this clear, and it may not be what you are looking for but it works for me.
