Any recommendations for a small, light, portable stepladder when I have to shoot 1' to 2' higher. To be used outdoors so the ground might not be flat.

I have two of the Gorilla ultralight aluminum stepladders, both of the ones listed here. (http://gorillaladders.com/products/?filtering=1&filter_ladder-type=68) They are much lighter than they look, and I like the large flat area for standing. One of them lives permanently in the back of my truck for photo use. I bought them at Home Depot -- had the short one for years, and recently bought the taller one.
I don't know how well any stepladder will work on uneven ground. They sort of need a flat surface to remain stable. :)
Edit: I notice that the link shows a photo and a description of the taller ladder that is not current -- the ladder I purchased has two large standing platforms, not one. More useful that way. But the shorter one gets more use for photo work.

For ultra cheap, ultra short, why not the plastic steps that the shuttle drivers use for shuttle van passengers?

I was looking for something light and foldable to carry from my car with my photo equipment. I found these. 9" high and 15 1/2" high and should fit easily in the trunk of my car. They weigh 3 pounds and 5 pounds respectively. Who thinks I'll break my neck using these especially the taller one on outside ground?
