Now it feels like a great trip but the morning of the return if was anything but.
We slept in a very basic refuge (which was great for what we needed) but then we had to start with probably the worst section of the entire trip. The freezing rain combined with an inadequate poncho coverage (tip: test it a home first!) exposing not only my arms but thanks to the strong winds my left side was continuously beaten by it through the large holes in it (I got the poncho-tarp combo) and the overloaded backpack made for an interesting first half to say the least.
After a break in the cabin from the pano (in camera btw) the rain stopped and all was well again.

As a side note although I've never been to Scotland this is exactly how I imagined it is, rocky landscape and freezing rain included ;D

I like very much the first one, but I think that all the first three are very good. I wonder what the inscription on the cross says.

My favourite of a good set is the very first. The mist/cloud flaring up on the right adds drama.

I love all of them. They remind me very much of adventures, when my wife and I were younger, in the Canadian Rockies. We were there in July on three separate occasions, and one memorable hike was in a cold rain storm that then changed to snow. It was so beautiful that we didn't mind the suffering (much).
