Somewhere I have a photo of a village police station from out that way: a lovely little pink house with hanging flowerpots and erupting blossums.
Difficult to get further from the modern bunker mentality of law enfocement.

It's a cheap photographic trick: inside the pink house is a much larger dungeon with all the electrical contacts you could imagine; even the handcuffs plug in!
