Advanced Searches, the ones for * or higher, etc and custom advanced searches are applied at the collection level. Once applied they stay on the collection when you select other collections then return to that collection. This is fine and it has its uses but is there a way to make the application global. That is, once you turn on a search, it filters any collection or folder that you select, over any selection changes and remains in force until you turn it off.
I have a feeling the answer is no but I thought I'd ask anyway.
