I'll ne visiting Kolob Terrace and Kolob Canyon as well as the Zion Canton scenic drive.  Any suggestions there?

I did not go to Kolob area. The drive it's the one from Springdale to Bryce, right? If that's the one it is truly beautiful. You could stop every 100 feet and find something to photograph or worth pursuing further.
As for suggestions, give yourself a little time to make some stops and try not to go midday. It's still beautiful but not as photogenic. If it's stormy, any time will do.

It it quite close to what I recall. It's just before the storm came our way. Very unusual light, quite dim though; I didn't carry my tripod with me so this was a iso 3200 shot. Good enough for what I wanted but it would have been even better with a lower iso.
