Title: Japan in B/W
Post by: Tapezu on August 22, 2016, 12:42:59 pm

I remember reading several articles about how projects can help shaping one's photography. After a bit of trying out different formats, square format (mostly) and B/W conversion kind of just feels right. So I decided to edit all the travel photos of Japan in this format and fill a photoblog with it.

I hope you enjoy them!

Nice, thanks for sharing.

The second one is my favorite.

Cheers,
Bernard

I'm so used to seeing Japan in colour - cherry blossoms, neon lights, and so on.  This gives a very interesting and different perspective!

Thank you for your kind words Bernhard and Phil!

I have actually gotten a similar feedback that it is an unusual choice to convert them in B/W. I was in this wonderful country during the rainy season in July with really hot and humid weather. But there were so many places where my travel companion and I thought that it we simply have to come back when its either cherry blossom or fall colour season.
