Title: Perseid
Post by: MattBurt on August 12, 2016, 12:41:58 pm
One from last night. I slept under the stars and saw hundreds of meteors. After a quick scan this morning I just grabbed this one shot. As I have time I'll probably build up some composite images from them.

Nice shot.
Strange that its trail is so short...? The exif info shows a 13 second exposure.  :-\

The trail was probably visible only for a second or less during those 13 seconds.

Very nice shot.

Thanks! Actually much less than a second, I bet. Great show!

Great shot Matt! My first attempt this morning was an epic fail! I'll try again in the morning but I really think this is a winner.

Thanks! I got lucky on my first couple of meteor shoots, maybe 5 years ago and then have been consistently skunked over multiple attempts over the past few years. It felt good to finally get some redemption!
