how does one ask to be part of an expedition?

I live in Hong Kong and it would be great to go on an expedition with the 'pros' once in a while, especially if an expedition goes to any place within Asia (where my air fare would be cheaper ;-)


(it's probably the wrong forum to ask this question but the 'expedition' forums are private and I couldn't see a more appropriate forum for the question.)
