Title: The Zone System
Post by: James Clark on July 24, 2016, 01:43:26 pm
We've all seen this composition - receding ridges with varying tones as distance increases.  But I've rarely seen a case where the frequency, the steps and the graduations are so uniform.

I will say that I'm tempted to drop in a bird or a hot air balloon or something in the sky, but of course that would destroy the "authenticity."

Thoughts?

A subject that never ceases to please. Well executed in this case, and no need for any type of authenticity destruction.

I totally agree with the earlier comments. This is a wonderful example of what the zone system is/was(?) all about.

A brilliant graphic piece James. ( & I don't know much about the Zone System ).

Absolutely beautiful.

I especially like its minimalism (it's a pity some extra details do show up when you enlarge it...)

I like it a lot. Minimalist but with plenty of interest.

Good work. You are done with this one IMO.

Thanks for the opinions!   Leaving the top as is :)  This one is done (Though I may clean up the image a bit for enlargement, as Zork mentioned)
