Hey all, thought I would sign up and see what the community here is like. My name is Mark Upfield, i'm a landscape / travel photographer and equestrian photographer. Been working full time doing this for 10 years now, still loving it even if some morning I do wake up wondering why...
This image was captured on a spring evening down in Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Dorset. I spend a few days a year down the west country of the UK making sure I try and capture something different. On arrive nothing was really happening so I went for a walk up the top of "bats head", about an hour later I could see a sea fog moving in so decided to try my luck back at Durdle Door.
I feel it paid off on the evening I have a huge print of it currently sat in my gallery and is one of my favorites this year.
Any ways hope you are all well, it will be good to get to know you all over the coming months :)

Posting a larger image would mean that the members will see better the quality of your image which looks fine as it is but bigger is better. Try re posting at 1203 along the horizontal side. Have a look at other images that have been posted and look at the dimensions and click on an image and it will magnify.

Welcome aboard, Mark…
Stamper has a point, a larger image would be nice but the thumbnail already makes me drool in anticipation.

Me too. I will look for the bigger version.

Agree with everyone; it is very nice small but we need something a bit larger to fully appreciate it. If that is a sample of what you shoot, I'm sure that you have other beautiful photos to share.

Great capture of a unique place. You obviously know what you're doing!
Thanks for sharing and welcome to the community!

Bigger version is now added :)
Hey all thanks for the comments, I have replaced the old one with the larger version so feel free to take a look.

Welcome, Mark!
You managed to find a fresh angle on a U.K. landscape icon, well done. Some members here will appreciate that you found the hand of man even in the jurassic period :)

That's a hell of a fine start! Welcome.

Very good photo. I had the privilege of visiting Durdle Door on a geologic field trip. Wonderful place.
