Title: Renting Prints for Staging Homes

Has anyone here done this?  I photograph plenty of homes for architects, contractors, real estate etc., but recently was asked about using some of my landscapes as 'art' in staging a home for the photo shoot. Any feedback appreciated.

In a major city, you rent almost anything.  Outside a major city, you can have it shipped.  However the cost of shipping plus the additional rental days will probably be higher then what most architects want to spend. 

In situations like this, you can hang empty frames and composite image into them later.  So long as the light hitting the frame is soft and somewhat uniform, it is not too hard to make it look real. 

Hard light and sharp shadows on the frame/wall will make it much harder to pull off.

Hi,

Are you talking about renting your photographs to architects to stage their listings?

If yes, this is viable provided the renting fee is adequate.

If the idea is to advertise your work that way the problem is people coming to see the listing are looking to buy the listing, not the artwork.
