Title: Nugget Point
Post by: maddogmurph on May 29, 2016, 05:14:26 pm
Which is your favorite and why?

There was a time maybe a year or two ago when I saw a shot from here (sunrise) that was so amazing it pretty much inspired my trip to this point. I never thought I would get here, I never thought I would actually see this place myself as it's in such a remote part of the world. Also I was lucky to even have this shot as I lost over 75% of all my data from New Zealand in an accident with my hard drive. It was not my best shot from here, but this is the best I got to keep. And I still love it because it reminds me of sitting up there two nights both times with amazing people that hold a special place in my heart.

Thank you Luminous Landscape for inspiring me and pushing me to the far reaches of the world.

For me, it's #1 or #3 (portrait).
#2 has some "unused" spaced on the right. There's more colourful sky, though.

I could also imagine #1 in 13:9 (less sky) and #3 in 1:1 (square).

#1, because it has the most color and carries the greatest 3D effect.
#2 is ordinary.
#3 is as #1, but the composition doesn't work as well IMO

#1 for me. #2 has the horizon in the middle, and the composition in #3 is not as good.

All would benefit from removing the barrel distortion (noticeable in the horizon line) plus levelling.

Must be a wonderful place.

+1, especially for 3D effect.

#1 for the reasons given. Really like the cloud reflections.
