Title: Eastern Flowering Dogwood

RMW's post Blue Flag Blind River (http://forum.luminous-landscape.com/index.php?topic=110645.0) inspired me to post this photo from last week. This image hasn't the mystique of RMW's photograph, but flowers in black-and-white are beautiful

Last weekend, I decided to defy the photography gods and go out around noon hour to a favourite local haunt (the University of Guelph Arboretum). The lilacs and crabs were beautiful, but the Eastern Flowering Dogwoods, an endangered species here in Ontario, were spectacular.

Terry this is quite a lovely foto. The softness of the forms and your treatment of the light make a perfect match.
