Title: Wilson's Asian Night Market (Part II)
Post by: tonycr46 on May 18, 2016, 10:44:06 pm
I know this topic was discussed elsewhere, but the thread ran into absurdity and was, rightfully, shut down. However, I think the technique used in the article makes for valid discussion. That said, here's my entry.

Simply stated, the images don't grab me. I have lived in Thailand since 2008 and have seen a lot of night markets. To me, an important aspect of them is the lights and color. Everything is so busy (in the activity sense) and the multitude of colors is a lot of what makes them exciting. The B&W seems to take that away. I would like to see the original color photos. I think the composition and technique might be there, but I need the color to really get to me.
