I like to think that an alert photographer can find interesting images pretty much anywhere. Such was the case as I walked back from a fairly unproductive photo outing in Beaufort, NC. As I walked along an old, patched road I looked down and - there was the best photo of the day! Oly EM1 with 12-60mm Oly lens.

You and Walker Evans, Peter. He loved photographing blobs of stuff on the pavement too.
Occasionally when someone on the street sees me with a camera they'll ask: "What are you photographing?" I'll answer: "Whatever's out here." This is definitely a whatever.

That's what I call "Real Street Photography."
I've got 25 of them on my website, in a "Series Gallery" called "Tar Gazing." ;)
