Title: Effervescent
Post by: churly on April 28, 2016, 08:12:22 pm
I keep coming back to this one but I'm not sure whether or not it works.  It needs some fresh and critical eyes.  All comments welcome.

Chuck,

I find it both intriguing and bizarre. I'm going to have to look at it a few more times to decide what I really think of it.
Boring it isn't! I'll post again after a couple more days.

Thanks for having a look Eric.  I appreciate it.
I have the same mixed feelings about this one.  I think the reason I am working with kind of thing is that despite all of the beautiful landscapes that are posted here, I seem to not be connecting with them very much.  This shot is clearly not very pretty, nor does it capture much of the universal human experience but I find something attractive about the grittiness.  I have done very modest post on this so it isn't an issue of distorting what I saw other than the abstraction of the long exposure.

Intriguing just about covers it. It certainly bears some study. That must say something about it - too many landscapes evoke a 'meh', and not much more.

The texture of the water is something we don't often see. The distant plants keep our eyes coming back in. I like it.

It's growing on me.
It's still hard to say what is so captivating about it. Definitely not "pretty," but that's fine.
