Title: Rupert Vandervell - street/urban photography
Post by: churly on March 28, 2016, 05:32:21 pm
I came across a portfolio of the work of Rupert Vandervell who is a street/urban photographer in London that I think is very impressive. He does a combination of street with incredible use of light and geometry.  I'm not a street shooter myself but I can certainly appreciate his work.

If you haven't seen his work you can find it at Rupert Vandervell (http://www.rupertvandervell.co.uk).

Indeed.

There is a Chicago photographer who does a similar stuff in color: http://theweek.com/captured/587253/shadows

Really good photos. The human shape is entirely part of the scenery and graphic studies. Thanks for sharing.

The Amateur photographer UK has an article about him in last week's issue. Impressive stuff. It isn't as easy as it might look. Good locations, contrasty light and good subjects have to come together in order to get a "winning" image and a lot of perseverance is needed.
