Hi, I am looking at some light bulbs for continuous light photography. I have the softboxes etc to place them in but I cannot buy the globe ones as shown in image where I live only the spiral ones. Does anyone no if there is a great differance between the way the light output will react inside the sofbox due to the shape/s?
Thank You.

Flash tubes are circular in shape most of the time. Usually there is no problem with using these bare (like Elinchrom), though there are some manufacturers (like Profoto) that put globes over it.

While I donĀ“t see any problems regarding the shape please note that the wound bulbs are fluorescent bulbs and the bigger one is LED based. So light quality / CRI might vary a lot.
