A beautiful and novel take on a clichéd location. Bravo!

+1. I had just finished reading about this phenomenon and the hoards of photographers it brings to Yosemite. Your photo stands up and above those that accompanied that article. Nicely done.

Excellent. Sooo much better than the pictures in the media.
-
I can only echo all the praises…
Bravo!

great shot. I was wandering how it would look like if the left hand side was a bit cropped, to enhance the cliff face even more?

From the title, I thought this would be the start of a joke -
The Captain, the horse, and the fire walk into a bar ...
The earth has rent asunder and the fire tries to return to its brethren in the sky,

Hi Paulo,
I actually did the opposite. I have another version which shows more area to the left and the whole reverse valley tunnel view.
The reason why I didn't crop is because there are many shots of a close up, and very few of the valley. For this piece I wanted to get a sense of scale and also show off the sky.

Nailed it big time! Great job

Very nice! I like the wider view just as much. :)

At first I thought average, then I noticed it. Epic man. Nicely done.
