Title: Torc Waterfalls

The majestic and powerful Torc Waterfall, on the river Torc near Killarney, perfectly embodies the presence and strength of water that defines Ireland for me. Ireland, for me, is the land of water: water is either in front of you, behind you, rains over you, runs under the rocks under your feet. A presence that created the landscape and still defines it.

Lovely scene. But, I would love to see the same shot with a faster shutter speed. I find that the "cotton water" effect is so overused and banal that I am almost automatically turned off by it.

I live in Oregon the land of waterfalls. Yours is the most incredible waterfall photograph I have ever seen.

Agreed. The water is the attraction and the green catches the eye thus competing for attention.

I think the saturation overall could be reduced a bit. The reddish area in the lower left looks vaguely unnatural as well. It's a stunning scene, though.

Thank you very much everyone, all comments are much appreciated  :D Re: saturation, I am very happy with the way this file prints, which is what I post-process for; in my workflow, once I am happy with a print, I just save for web the file and I am done - I am aware that this sometime may results in a bit of extra saturation on screen, but I don't really mind it - post-processing for the screen adds too many variables in the mix anyway, IMHO, to make it worth it to dedicate much time to it: on the other side of the line you get calibrated screens, not calibrated ones, color-aware browsers and not aware ones, saturation / luminosity / colours are all different, etc., you have to save images in RGB versus the larger colour spaces you can take advantage of when printing, etc. The print is what counts for me  ;D
