Title: URGENT ! Formac 2010 & colour temp settings ???

I'm trying to calibrate my formac 2010 using spyderpro and optical3.7.
I seem top need to change the colour temp of the screen (or at least know it) but cant find how to change it.
Any ideas ??

I don't think you can. The best setting would be Native WP but I don't think Optical has it. Maybe chose any wp target, go through calibration and then do validation (if Optical has a validation option the way Spyder2 Pro does). It should measure the WP.

But technically the originqal Spyder is not for LCDs.

You don't need color controls on LCDs. Just set the brightness and let the profile take care of the rest.

Quick LCD Calibration/Profiling instructions:
1. Set the display to factory defaults
2. Set the Brightness
3. In the profiling software set:
    A. The color temp to 6500K (D65 optimally)
    B. The gamma to 2.2 (PC) or 1.8 (Mac) (Display native optimally)
4. Let the software create a profile.

The optimal settings are not always available depending on the software. Most displays operate at 6500K but some are higher. In the case of the latter, I recommend you still calibrate to 6500K and let the profile compensate. Any degradation to the profile quality will out-weight the problems working with an overly blue native color temp.
