Title: Why no camera roll and pitch in exif?

While I was using PtLens to correct some pictures, I thought why can't we have an automated correction for vertical shift and rotation like we do for distortion. The program relies on the picture exif data to correct lens distortion. If the roll and pitch information was also recorded in exif it should be possible for the software to apply correction automatically without manual adjustments. This would be especially useful in pictures with no straight lines like nature. Most cameras now have internal level so why are camera companies not making this feature available?

I think my Nikon D810 exif does include this info - but I'll need to check once I am home.

If not, it would certainly be a good idea. (Although, as yet, Lightroom does not have a correction facility built-in.)

Phase One wrote it fot IQ backs and Capture One has auto perspective correction.
Wish Sony will have it too.

I am pretty sure that Canon does not include it. Too bad because the level on the Canon 5D mark3 is pretty accurate. I think the exif reading for that camera would provide accurate auto corrections.
