Great colour and framing. Just a small nit, but I would have preferred it only the man was present. I find the lady in the bicycle distracting.

I've got another one taken a few seconds later, without the bike.
My feeling was that the bike provided some balance to the photo, as well as some foreground detail. Without it, there isn't much in the foreground, with all the leading lines pointing towards the rear.

Fantastic scene, although I somewhat agree with Paulo. Having two people in the image kills the feeling of solitude this scene wants to convey. A single person moving toward the light - instead of away from it - would tell a stronger story.

I was never trying to convey a feeling of solitude.
That said, I also have shots of people - one or more - moving towards the light.

I love it! The juxtaposition of the people going about their lives against the dreamy backdrop really makes me want to linger. Nice.

This is beautiful. I am ambivalent about the bike. If I may ask, what time of the year is the best time to shoot Fall colors in Japan?

Between September and December, depending on which part. Generally it starts in the north and moves south, and from high areas to low areas (hence Tokyo is one of the last areas to see the change).

I love the colors and the tunnel effect. Both shots are very fine to me, I'm not bothered by the woman on the bicycle. The woman with the dog is also fine but I wonder how it would look if she was further away from the photographer.

I've also got one with no-one in the tunnel. But I think a bit of traffic or other foreground elements adds to the scene - without it, it's just an empty tunnel of trees.
What do you think?

I also prefer to see some human presence. So, I agree with you, without it, this is just a tunnel with nice colors.
