I've just contacted Canon regarding my camera and the fact that it has a small amount of fungus in the viewfinder, I believe to be on the screen above the focus screen. They wouldn't give me a quote for a strip and clean but just said it was £60 an hour for a technician to work on it. Has anyone had this sort of work done and knows roughly how long this would take? The camera doesn't have a huge value anymore; I've seen them on Ebay for around £400-500 now so it's not worth spending loads on it even though it had a new shutter a couple of years back and it is in good condition. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
