Title: Mushrooms

I never post images of food, but I think these mushrooms are an exception. They're so large and impressive, but very difficult to harvest of course. One would need a crane.  ;)

I think this image might beat anything from the Grand Canyon.  ;)

All praise will be welcome, and also sensible critiques on how to improve the image.

The location is of course a secret. I don't want anyone stealing my mushrooms.  ;)

I can't praise them without tasting them. They do look yummy though...is that a chocolate sauce on top?

On a serious note, it looks like a documentary/touristy shot, with a lot of busy elements around. One way to deal with that is a b&w conversion with an orange or red filter, which would throw those greens around and the sky into darkness and lighten the stone formation. A bit of Brioting wouldn't hurt either, unless one is ethically opposed to it.

Good points, Slobodan.The images were taken about a year ago (3 images at 24mm for stitching , camera held vertically, too lazy to change lenses), and I was just experimenting with the various options for Photomerge  in relation to the following thread about the use of wide-angle tilt & shift lenses.

Whilst searching my archives I noticed that I hadn't yet got around to processing those 3 images intended for stitching. They stitch perfectly using  the 'Reposition' option, with no obvious distortions.

I might follow your suggestion and remove the surrounding foliage, although I do enjoy greenery.  ;)

I agree that eliminating the greenery would enhance it.

Nope, I'd keep the green or you'd end up with another Utah.

Make a great puzzle à la jigsaw, except for one thing: où la femme? You know it's obligatory, unless you really were in Utah where you would be incarcerated for thinking of it.
