Title: Glow Baby, Glow!
Post by: Jens Peermann on December 10, 2015, 08:55:14 pm
This happened in mid July of this year. I had made a dash for Yosemite after work and arrived at Olmstedt Point just in time for this spectacle. Sheer luck!

Spectacular image! No offence, but it looks like CG rather than a photograph.

It is a photograph, although I must admit that you have a point.

Amazing. And a good example that it pays to go to again and again to often photographed places...

Hello Jens,

Wonderful take on Half Dome! While agreeing with impressions above, what magnificent serendipity! Of course I can not know how often you haunted the location to have it "happen". There is a location in the mountains north of here where that fleeting fire occurs...never prepared with a camera. Always such events take me back through the historic record of how the place came to be... Wonderful! What had you carried with you to take this shot?

A good friend of mine used to always say, "The harder I work, the luckier I get."  I think that applies here.  Beautiful.

This should probably be started as a new topic, but I'm not sure how to do that in response to a post.

Jens - I'm curious about how successful you are finding sales through FineArtAmerica? Would you mind commenting on what type of work/products seems to sell best?

As someone else here said earlier, "spectacular"! It is indeed. The glowing rock faces seem close to igniting. Glad that you were there to capture it.
