Following on from a post on Rob Galbraith's now dead forum I am wondering how important it is to match the reference white of the working colorspace to the printer profile white temperature.
From B.Lindbloom's site it explains that different color spaces have either a reference white space of D50 or D65.

Now most custom profiles are built to D50, but both AdobeRGB and sRGB have a refence of D65.
I am interested in the effect this has in getting neutral greys.
I am trying to avoid the effects of OB's causing a profile to generate a blue cast on prints.
Of the commonly used color space's ProPhotoRGB has a D50 reference white point.
I am going to try the effect of matching the profile and working space white points but would welcome any other idea's or input
