I'll be at the Tune Up Day and will be in LA several times in the next few months to help the new team there set up the office. Of note, the head of our new office, Ken Scott, is a great lover of coffee and is arranging a very nice coffee setup :bugeyes::bugeyes:.
DT now has 17 employees living in six states with two physical offices. It's been exciting to be part of this growth, and I've never been more excited for a new year.

Doug, can I pls ask what "line calibration" does? Does that have something to do with checking dead pixel?

Correct.
We can detect and correct them even when they aren't affecting normal images. This is normally a paid service (unless covered by warranty). But on Tune Up Day it is free of charge.

I wish I lived a bit closer :-(

What is the turn around on such services like Line Calibration, etc?

Nearly all (maybe 95%?) of line calibrations can be done within 2-3 days via remote calibration; the back does not need to ship anywhere. Every once in a while a line cannot be calibrated remotely and that requires service at the factory which is 7-10 business days.

What if we don't need any service done to a back, can we still have some coffee and try out the new gear? Maybe I can bring donuts :-)

Just want to remind everyone that we are holding our gear tune up day on 12/2-12/3 at our new LA location. Even if you don't have a back that needs tuning up stop by for a coffee and meet Doug, myself and the rest of the team.

Too bad I can't tomorrow

Great meeting Ken, Doug, and Lance. Better than the previous e-mail correspondence definitely! Please drop by the store one of these days if you're in LA, that XF works infinitely better than my 645DF, and it's definitely worth playing with!
