Title: 2
Post by: armand on November 10, 2015, 02:24:40 pm
That post has an unexplained (to me) attraction for all those pigeons when the weather gets colder but this is the first time I pulled on the side of the road to document the moment, mostly because of those 2 pigeons.

Playing with various ratios.

I love the first one: there is a palpable tension between the dynamic of the composition and the stillness of the subject.
It looks like all that pigeons are going to take off any moment.

That works also. I have about 20 frames with different focal lengths, orientation and in camera cropping as it didn't really feel I have the one.

You might look at it in square crop with pole centered

I'm with Diego and Brandt's square crop idea. Intriguing subject that creates so many questions. I like the toning too.

Nice find, I like it. I think the square crop looks the best to my eyes.
