Grasslands National Park, Canada. Feedback welcome.

This is not what I expected from a region named Grasslands. It portrays a harsh aspect of an otherwise lush, green landscape.
My thought is that there is a bit too much foreground and the hill in the background is diminished.

I agree with rpsphoto on the "bit too much foreground": I would crop a little to cut out the bottom part of the image (in a way that the shadow in the foreground falls very very little outside the frame).
-
The eye tends to wander around the scene without settling on something that can be construed as a focal point. You need a large plant for the eye to fall upon. I agree about too much foreground.

You could try to crop it square and loose the foreground.

Thanks for the feedback. I have a couple of these types of shots and you have confirmed my own doubts. I was aiming for context.
