Not sure I'm understanding. Are you tethering to drive the camera from Lightroom or are you looking for image viewing and downloading?

Hi,
I am pretty sure that Canon has an excellent utility for controlling the camera from a computer. Shoot using that and use a watched folder on LR.
I don't know why anyone would use a mediocre tool in Lightroom for tethered shooting when there is a very good one from Canon.
Just to say, I have not used Canon's tool on 5DsR, but have used it on the 5DIII.
Best regards
Erik

that's what I'm using Eric, but would be easier to use the Lightroom tether command......

I don't have the current LR, but I understand that their import process is even slower than usual. Related?

Hi,
Thanks for the link. I can actually live with LR imports but there are quite a few areas where Adobe should improve Lightroom/ACR. Speed is one of them.
Best regards

I just stick the card in the reader, and go fix myself a cup of tea..... prerogatives of an amateur - time wasting. :D

A cup of tea is not a waste of time... ;)
