Title: Tapatalk
Post by: bassman51 on September 20, 2015, 11:31:33 pm
Suddenly I'm getting pop-up ads for Tapatalk when I visit Lula.

I don't want Tapatalk, and find this very annoying.  Can it be stopped?

So do I and I run the site.  It's not something Luminous-Landscape does.  It's not part of the forum software.  I am looking into this but I believe it is a browser related pop up.  I have Tapatalk loaded on my iPad and I am wondering if the app detects a forum page and thus presents the pop-up.  If and when I find an answer to this we will make a post here.

Haven't seen it today, so I'm hopeful that you were successful.   Thanks for the quick response.

It happened to me this lunchtime - about 90 mins ago. Was sitting having a bar lunch and tried to see who was alive on LULa at the time (cellphone) and couldn't view the first post I tried to view becasue it was screened off by the ad. for the app and I couldn't get past it...

P.S. But then, that might be a cure for addiction! ;-)

We did what we could from our end and turned a hidden link off.  May I suggest that you clear cache etc if this continues.  I don't get it anymore on my iPad or iPhone so it appears it has been squashed.  Sorry about that.  we had so many requests to get Tapatalk working but we didn't know there was a connection between the new forum SW and Tapatalk.  Should be good to go now.  BTW I have been using Tapatalk a bit and it is pretty cool on mobile devices.
