Title: Blue Angels and Mt Rainier
Post by: ThomasR99 on August 12, 2015, 10:18:31 pm
I took this a couple of weeks ago when the Blue Angels were in town for the annual Seafair events.  They typically come in a few days before the weekend shows and do some genreal orientation flyovers, then a couple of practice shows.  I set up at the North end of Boeing Field to catch their first take-off for their practice flights.  I was lucky to have a reasonably clear day with Mt Rainier in the background.  I added some sharpening, burned in the Mountain a bit, and added some local contrast to it as well in Aperture.  I welcome critiques of this.  I made a three print series (this is 2 of the three) that now hangs in my workplace conference room.  First is them just starting the takeoff roll, so they planes are still on the runway.  Last is them above the mountain.  It makes a nice series but this one is my favorite.
