Title: Fun with Comparative Wallography

The idea here is to post images solely for the purpose of demonstrating the technical quality of one's own cherished camera.

Show us how wonderful -sharp, DR, good AF etc. your camera is, compared of course to those quite useless cheap excuses for cameras that other forum members are using. And so as to make the thread useful for something more than bragging, as these are just tests, we post the whole file for other forum members to feel suitably humiliated by our mucho sharp megapixels.

The only rules are: IMAGES TAKEN WITHIN THE LATST 24 HOURS. No archive shots, WHOLE (processed or not) FILE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD  :)

I will start. Canon 1Ds3, 85/1.2, in camera jpeg, some curves, no additional sharpness. Surely such an ancient beast is easy to best with an A7IIR and some Zeiss glass?

Here are a few captured on Sunday with a D750 + 400mm f2.8 E FL.

These are supposed to show hints of look, sharpness, AF accuracy in low light,  reasonable noise control (some of them are at ISO 12800),... plus, of course, the ability to master a monster lens after having had a few beers. ;)

Nancy, I was hoping for some microscope captures - those would make unbeatable wallographs :)

The pics look really nice! Are you going to the Awa Odori festival in Mitaka next week, or maybe the one in Koenji the week after that?
I got a feeling I could recognize you right away with all those gears ;D

I attended those 2 last year (a friend dances in Mitaka), but I will probably not be able to go this year.

Yeah I'm going to the one in Mitaka. If I didn't get good pics then I'll also go to the one in Koenji ;)
I'm going to bring just one lens, Nikon 300mm f/4E PF, anything heavier would break my back ;D

In case you haven't been there in the past, they are very different.

Mitaka is smaller and easier to deal with photographically. you can pretty much show up 30 mins before and get a good spot.

Koenji gathers 1 million people every year and you need to show up hours in advance to secure a reasonnable spot.

I'm going to Mitaka first precisely because the size is much smaller than Koenji, and I really like the area there (I go to the Ghibli Museum frequently).

If I could take good pics in Mitaka then I'll just skip Koenji and go somewhere else ;)
