Title: black focusing screeen for 44x33 crop sensors
Post by: alexluuphoto on August 08, 2015, 04:41:10 am
Has anyone bought the black focusing screen for the crop phase one sensors on digital transitions? I would like to know your experiences and installing it. the crop in the optical viewfinder is bugging me a little bit and was wondering if this is a good solution for it. I have had my p40+ for a day now and was wondering if i would just get used to it?

I used the black out focusing screen on a DF+ and IQ150 and it works great.  I would hate to not have any sort of a mask as framing with that much of a crop can be a bit difficult.  I preferred it to the mask that shows the grid line, where the crop sensor is.

It can be a bit tricky to install, as scratches easily I would consider having a dealer install it.

Thanks paul!! I will definitely visit a dealer in LA and have them put it in for me.
