Pramote and Framah have stimulated my lighthouse genes to the degree that I have booked a weekend on Pemaquid Point. In the meantime, I thought to complement the recent posts with another view of Pemaquid Lighthouse at dawn.

That's a much more interesting image than the usual lighthouse shots.
As for Pemaquid itself, the rocks are fantastic and worthy of good closeups, IMHO.
-
Nicely conveys the struggle against the sea. Good one.
-
Very good B&W. It's intriguing, at least to me, it does not look like a lighthouse, with the picket fence and all.

IMHO it is the most beautiful light on the Maine coast. You have captured a unusual and beautiful image of it. Thanks for sharing.

A great shot. An unusual composition, and all the better for it

Wow, that's a fabulous lighthouse image. Different than I'd expected, reading the title. Beautiful!

Several of the lights in Maine have similar picket fences. In fact, when I first saw the OP's image, I thought it was a different light.
Here is one from Castine, Maine that shows a similar picket fence.

nma...I really like it. The view is unique and the gradation of B&W is fantastic.
I'd love to see more texture of the foreground, just a little bit more.
Great B&W!

Beautifully done! Great composition and treatment. It positively glows on my screen and should print beautifully, too.
It has a very "Fred Picker" look to it (and that's meant as a compliment).
-
Lovely composition and masterful bw processing. I'm not an expert on printing, but I imagine that using a metallic paper would make this photo pop off the print.
-
My compliments on the tonality, selective detail and superb composition. The framed presentation, with a title, is a nice touch too.

This is great. Very nice texture

I'm a little late here, but will add my tip of the hat for this image, too. Compelling.
