Title: Anna's Hummingbird
Post by: telyt on August 05, 2015, 12:45:52 am
Excersizing my new-to-me equipment with a familiar subject, the Anna's Hummingbirds in my yard.  This is a juvenile male who has 'taken over' the feeder, at least until the migrant Rufous Hummingbirds show up.

Ditto Paulo's comments. How close were you to the bird? I like the bird's expression in the second one.

I don't do bird photography but I certainly appreciate these examples. The rendering of the plumage is more subtle than most examples I recall, meaning that these are sharp and well saturated without being in your face and without being the reason for the image.

I was about 15' from the bird.  Thanks for your kind remarks  :)
