How many miles does the sound carry? This looks like a seriously loud horn.

Yes it a big horn, the sound would have carried for many miles but it's now decommissioned, I think the local towns folk are glad too. :)

Very nice shot. The horn seems to be blowing the clouds, the whole scene is very dynamic and I like it.
