I've been waiting for a good sunset here in the California south land. Most of the time it's either clear blue sky or thick overcast over the ocean.

Worth the wait, I'd say.

Fantastic color, mood and composition.

Really nice, Adhika.

Great colour, great waves & textures - ideal moment. But what's the foreground all about? If you're doing an exposé on contrasts, you've got it, because the stuff in the foreground does not compliment the "last light" you've captured so well.
-
A little crop top & bottom? Otherwise it is a fine image as it is.

Thanks for the comments, guys!

Hey Terry, this was an exercise on juxtaposition. I am trying to carry over the shape in the background to the foreground. As uninteresting as it is, it's shaped like the cloud and the incoming waves in the midground. I'd love to hear your comments how I could improve the image to deliver this idea across.

I like the foreground because the seaweed clearly says "ocean".

Personally, I would look for a complimentary foreground object: rocks or a boulder; a dock; even certain sand patterns. What you've done is not wrong, it's my perspective that's driving this - but you must go according to your perspective. It also depends on what you're trying to do with this photograph. If you're trying to sell it, then something more pleasant might work better. If it's an exercise in composition, then don't worry about it.

Nice light and water motion. I like the highlights on the seaweed. I think a little off the bottom might improve the composition as well.

You are right. Thanks for the suggestion! :)

Thanks! I have to look at that suggestion. I think I was aiming for a rule of thirds, but maybe a tad more cropping on the bottom would help.

Fine image.
