I am I the only 10.10.4 users with 2 screens who is incredibly irritated by the various regressions and bugs Apple introduced in terms of window position?
I am increasingly scared about upgrading OS X to the latest release, I see no improment but many downsides...
Really getting tired of Apple's quality.
Cheers,
Bernard

You are not alone:

Absolutely not alone. Apple OS 10.10.xx is seriously less than it should be.

I've only been using one screen since i got the RiMac but get the feeling that Yosemite is a generally pointless & inferior upgrade to Mavericks which I used for about 6 months & didn't mind too much. Of course I was quite happy with Snow Leopard.

Could you elaborate on what you find annoying about the window positions? I'm currently beta testing 10.11 El Capitan.

What problems do you have? I've seen none in my two-monitor setup.
The only irritation is a long-standing one with Lightroom. I have the grid display on my secondary monitor. If LR is running and that monitor goes into power save mode, as it does, LR will sometimes move the grid display into a small window on the main screen, while keeping it active on the second display as well. Hitting shift-g twice fixes it, but it's annoying. It pre-dates 10.10, though: goes all the way back to LR4.
There's a handy little add-on called Moom, which deals quite nicely with window movements. It's particularly useful when I use my laptop without a second monitor, then return to using a second monitor. It was pretty cheap.

Awesome app that should fix any issues the OP has that I can imagine. Moom is easy to use, flexible and I love the way it resets everything when moving to a 2nd display system automatically.

You guys rock, Moom seems to work perfectly and has fixed the problem in no time!
Thanks!

Glad to help. There's another window utility called Zooom (http://www.coderage-software.com/zooom/index.html), which recently had a good review somewhere I can't recall. I've not tried it but some of its features seem quite attractive.
