Title: Topaz plugins broken in Photoshop CC 2015
Post by: Rajan Parrikar on July 08, 2015, 12:08:11 am
For a few users the plugins just don't launch after upgrading to Photoshop CC 2015. It has been two weeks now and Topaz still doesn't have a fix. Has anyone here faced this issue? (I am a Mac user.)

The plug-ins from installations of Photoshop CC 2014 did not install to the new plug-ins folder when you installed Photoshop CC 2015. You have to go to the old plug-ins folder (for Photoshop CC 2014) and copy the plug-in files to the analogous folder for Photoshop CC 2015.

Or you can just re-download from Topaz and run the installer.

Tried all that. Doesn't work.

yes, mine are broken too. tried dragging from 2014 and also reinstalling. they show up in the filter menu but do not launch. interestingly enough, i had some embedded in actions and from an action they work.

PITA

I deleted the Tonality Pro plugin by MacPhun Software and Topaz now works.

I would therefore try eliminating plugins to see which one is interfering with Topaz.

I have been having the same problems and this is what Topaz sent me and it works.  I'm on an iMAC 10.10.4:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am sorry you are having issues with your Topaz Labs plugins!

Please try the steps below:

Open Finder
Navigate to Mac HD / Library / Application Support
Highlight Topaz Labs
Hit Command + I (for Get Info)
Click the Lock icon at the bottom right hand corner of the window pane that comes up, enter credentials
Make sure that your user and "everyone" has Read and Write access to the Topaz folder
Click the Cog Wheel icon and choose "Apply to enclosed items" <— This is a very important step, do not forget to do this!

Removing an expired trial set of Nik plugins is what did the trick for me. Thanks for the suggestion.
