Enjoying the new LR CC/6 video series, great job as always. It occurred to me that I don't know the history of how Michael and Jeff first met, how they decided to get into the video business, and what the first video tutorial was. Anyone care to elaborate?

I can't recall the first time Mike and I talked...I think it had something to do with going to Antarctica. But our first video was for the public beta 1 of Lightroom was shot and released when Lightroom went beta for the first time in Jan 2006. As I recall, the DVD was free +shipping and handling. I think we did a total of three more beta videos and the first for sale was with the release of Lightroom 1 in Jan 2007.
We did the first From Camera to Print later (can't recall the dates but Mike had recently moved into his gallery in Toronto). I remember because I rode my motorcycle there and the final scene in the video was me riding off on the bike :~)
So, we've worked together a lot of times and made good vids, but the real genius behind the scenes is Chris Sanderson...the poor guy who had to listen to all our flubs and bloopers and edit the stuff so we sounded like we had 1/2 a clue! Thanks Chris!

Does anyone recall all wrap ups of the tutorials ( swimming, drinking beer, drinking whiskey, ect.)

Hi,
Yes, I remember Jeff driving off into the setting sun. Would be nice to see a remix of LuLa highlights.
The latest video with Jeff and Kevin is quite good. Good work by Kevin to stand in for Michael in the Reichmann & Schewe show.
Just to say, I spent a week with my best friend Pierre in Tiveden, a small Swedish natural preserve. It was raining all the time, but we had some good wines and the Reichmann & Schewe show and we had a great time.
Best regards
Erik

Coming soon from LuLa Videos: "The Battle of the LuLa Shirts," with Michael, Jeff and now introducing Kevin! :D ;D
-
One of the great things about working with Jeff is that he always takes 'Wardrobe' seriously.
Before every shoot he brings out a selection of several outstanding shirts for the 'Director' to choose from! ;D

Now that Kevin's gotten into the "shirts" act we need to see you in one, Chris. Maybe Jeff can get some footage of you from his motorcycle. ;)
