Title: Hello from Michigan

I didn't really see a place to introduce myself to the forum so I thought I'd do it here, if it's even necessary? ???  Anyway, I've been pointing a camera a pretty things for a long time, but I am forever learning something new and would describe myself as a competent photographer but not much more than that.  Just say'n howdy, and hope to learn something from you fine folks.

There are lots of very helpful people here, as well as a few who just like to argue about technicalities.
This is the best photo website I'm aware of. I hope you will enjoy your stay.

THe Peruvian riverbed also grabbed my attention - I really like it.

Some wonderful images on 500px. If you want to really introduce yourself here, post a photo or two.
