Title: Black frame every time I turn on Olympus EM5
Post by: Neil Folberg on June 07, 2015, 05:14:09 pm
Hello, For some reason over 50% of the time after I turn on the camera the first frame and sometimes second frame that I shoot is black. I'm usually using it in A-Aperture mode, but I've had it happen also in S-Shutter mode. Has anyone encountered this? Any suggestions?
Right now I'm traveling for the next month an haven't got that little cable with me to do a new system install on the camera, but I tried it before and it didn't help. Thanks!

This has been the subject on various fora over the last few years (especially in relation to very fast shutter speeds) and the best explanation seems to be a sticky shutter.

Thanks. I was using pretty fast shutter speeds, I'll try slowing it down a bit to see if it helps.
