Not been on Lula too much recently and even less on this part of the forum, so please forgive me for not looking at or commenting on anyone else's work for quite some time. I have just been so ridiculously busy on another project and it will probably be next autumn when it's completed and I can finally get some free time again.
Best regards everyone ;)

Good luck with the other project, and I hope it's at least fun.
I'll look forward to more of your fine work next fall.

Very nice, Dave. Quite a different mood from the standard fare from that spot.

Wonderful shot.

Refreshing take on a classic! Good luck with your project…

Especially nice, good seeing and timing.

Great work, Dave. And it's wonderful to see such an icon in something other than spring/summer greens or mist!
-
Excellent. I'd be tempted to get rid of the flaccid flag in the middle, though; it seems unnecessary and draws attention.

Different treatment of a rather over photographed location, I really like it. I makes me want to curl up under my nice warm duvet. I should get up to Scotland with the cameras in the colder months - something I've been saying for years but never got around to. Maybe this winter.

OK Jeremy, as per your request, here is a version without the "flaccid flag" and I thought while I am at it, I might as well create yet another version with a full flag ;)

Dewi, if my shot makes you want to come up here to take something similar, then my work here is done :D
Thanks everyone for your kind words and I will see you all in the autumn, so get out there and keep shooting. ;)

Grand light and weather, much more interesting and atmospheric.

Thanks for both of those, Dave. I think the slightly edited version is an improvement; oddly enough, I'm not enamoured of the "full flag"!
Where is it? I have a feeling I should recognise it, at least from other photographs, but I don't.

Flag is flying against the wind. Jus' sayin' :)

It's here: http://www.dewisant-photography.net/dewi_sant_photography_Scotland_7.htm Eilean Donan Castle, Scotland. Probably the most photographed place in Scotland which is why you recognise it. Another shot from Letterfearn, from where it's not quite so familiar: http://www.dewisant-photography.net/dewi_sant_photography_Scotland_8.htm

That's Scotland for you.

Right, the photoshopped one, at least. The real one seems to be... how shall I put it delicately... flaccid? ;)
