Nice shot.

But I think you don't understand Coot Architecture. I bet that nest is the envy of every coot on the block.   ;)

Initially I was a bit dismayed by seeing litter in the nest, then realised it was quite a smart move on the bird's part.

Yes, they blend in with the environment, and the nests typically look messy, even when made without litter.

I've attached another Coot's nest example.
