Title: Cordoama beach, SW Portugal
Post by: Paulo Bizarro on May 25, 2015, 04:26:23 am
I was there last week on a field trip, lucky, it was close to sunset, and the mist from the sea (strong winds) was coming in fast. This coast is simply beautiful.

I got thoroughly soaked while taking the second shot:)

Number 3 is just a simple shot of the lighthouse in Cabo Sao Vicente, the place "where the land ends".

Regards.

I like especially the first, very good B/W.

Well done.

All three are good but the light in the first is lovely. The conversion to b&w has been delicately done.

I also find the first one to be outstanding, really one notch above the others. The second one is interesting too but the foreground takes a large portion of the image, maybe too much for my taste (?).

I like the first two! The first is very good but I really like the second. It feels emotional to me, draws me in. Not very logical I know but that is how I feel!

In 1 I like the hourglass made by waves and mountain.

I am not too big on the second one, but the first one really stands out.

Thanks for the comments. Just a few more thoughts:

#1 - this is looking north, when the waves are not coming in, the extension of sand is visible.

#2 - this is looking south, when the waves come in, the sand is basically covered. I wanted to show this contrast, the place changes every few seconds, at the rhythm of the waves.

#3 - nothing special, just a record shot, we visited at sunset time, just for a few minutes.
