Was out hiking last holiday Monday and shot these during the contrasty hours around mid-day. It was an exploratory hike, so I just brought the 18-35 and the 70-200; no tripod. Here are two; I've posted another under User Critiques (http://forum.luminous-landscape.com/index.php?topic=100589.0).

I prefer the first one, the greens and the flowers say "forest" to me; the second one does not.

I prefer the first one too. It imparts a feeling of cool serenity a forest.
