I like this very much, great job...this would also make a great B&W.

Very nice. I like how you show the pier is not straight to the sea. Very nice composition. I just wish there is a little bit more texture to the sky, but probably it's more nitpicking.

Oh yeah! I agree with Peter: please try it in b/w, I bet you'll like the result.

Thanks, All, for the kind comments . . .
I originally envisioned this image as monochrome, or split-toned. When I started working with the file the subtlety of the colors won me over - and confirmed my preference when printed.
Here are the two monochrome versions for comparison.
Straight B&W conversion:

And split-tone in LR (based on Michael Reichmann's approach to this that I admire so much):

By the way, this was my first photo outing after having had both knees replaced this past year - what a journey that was. And what a joy and blessing it was to be able to do a little light hiking and then stand working for an hour or so.

I don't like the straight B&W very much, but I am impressed by the toned one, which seems to me better than the colour. It's a very good shot either way, though: piers are wonderful subjects.
Congratulations on your successful TKRs.
